At an emergency demonstration sponsored by the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) in downtown Des Moines, WILPF members joined other community groups, including the Central Iowa DSA, the Des Moines People’s Town Hall, and Des Moines Mutual Aid in support of the people of Palestine.
Jan Corderman spoke on behalf of WILPF, demanding an immediate ceasefire and negotiations that address the root causes of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian people living in the land they occupy. Additionally, WILPF demands an end to U.S. military aid for Israel as well as an expectation that Israel sign the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.
